Pastor P M Philip
പി എം ഫിലിപ്പ് 1915 ഒക്ടോബർ 26 ന് പി റ്റി മാത്യുവിന്റെയും (പൊടിമല മത്തായിച്ചന്‍) മറിയാമ്മ മാത്യുവിന്റെയും മകനായിട്ടാണ് ജനിച്ചത്. ടൈഫോയിഡു ബാധിച്ച് മരിക്കാറായി കിടന്ന ഫിലിപ്പിനെ പിതാവും തങ്കയ്യാ അതിശയവും ചേര്‍ന്ന് എണ്ണപൂശി പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചു പിന്നീട് കിണറ്റുകരയില്‍ കൊണ്ടുപോയി പച്ചവെള്ളത്തില്‍ കുളിപ്പിച്ചു. മരിച്ചു പോകുമെന്ന് നാട്ടുകാര്‍ വിധിയെഴുതിയ കുട്ടി പിറ്റെ ആഴ്ച മുതല്‍ കര്‍ത്താവിനെ ശുശ്രൂഷിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി. പതിനാലാം വയസ്സില്‍ സുവിശേഷവേലയ്ക്കായി പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു. എ ആര്‍ റ്റി അതിശയത്തിന്റെ കീഴില്‍ ആണ് അദ്ദേഹം സ്‌നാനം ഏറ്റത്. മുളക്കുഴ സീയോന്‍കുന്നിലും കുമ്പനാടും വചനമഭ്യ സിച്ചു. കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയായിരുന്നു പ്രധാനമായും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനമേഖല. കേരളത്തിലെ പെന്തെക്കോസ്ത് പ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്‍ അപൂര്‍വ്വമായി മാത്രം ബൈബിള്‍ കോളേജുകള്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നപ്പോള്‍ 1956-ല്‍ പാസ്റ്റര്‍ പി എം ഫിലിപ്പ് ആരംഭിച്ചതാണ് ഷാലോം ബൈബിള്‍ സ്‌കൂള്‍. ഐ പി സി ജനറല്‍ സെക്രട്ടറി, കേരള കൗണ്‍സില്‍ പ്രസിഡന്റ്, ഐ പി സി തിയോളജിക്കല്‍ ബോര്‍ഡ് ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ സഭയുടെ സ്ഥാനങ്ങള്‍ കര്‍ത്തവ്യബോധത്തോടെ നിര്‍വഹിച്ചു. തികഞ്ഞ ലക്ഷ്യബോധത്തോടും ആത്മസമര്‍പ്പണത്തോടും കൂടെ സുവിശേഷരണാങ്കണത്തില്‍ അത്യദ്ധ്വാനം ചെയ്ത ഈ ദൈവദാസന്‍ 2000 നവംബര്‍ 11 ന് നിത്യതയില്‍ ചേര്‍ക്കപ്പെട്ടു. 2003 ഡിസംബര്‍ 29 ന് സഹധര്‍മ്മിണിയായ സാറാമ്മ ഫിലിപ്പും നിത്യതയില്‍ പ്രവേശിച്ചു.
Pastor P M Philip, was born on 26 October 1915 as son of Pastor P T Mathew, Podimala and Mariamma Mathew. He was saved at the age of 12 and dedicated for full time ministry at 14. He studied the Word of God and was well known as a Gospel preacher from the age of 14. He later worked tirelessly with the native evangelists of Kottayam Pastors and children of God. For years, he served in IPC as Kottayam District Pastor, Kerala State President and General Secretary. He is the founder of Shalom Bible School.
